TotoArca began as a pianist with a background in jazz, modern, and classical music, before specializing in composing music for visual media. His compositions range from orchestral to electronic music, from jazz to minimalism, constantly drawing from new stylistic influences.

He completed the Bachelor's in Jazz Piano and the Master's in Jazz Composition at the Milan Conservatory, then earned a Master's in Film Music at the Rovigo Conservatory.
